Well Hello Fall...

...my dearest friend!  Why yes I will open all the windows in the house (that open...some don't) and eat out on the porch sun room  Fall room for the second day in a row! I am still not sure what to call this room.  It is more than a porch but sun room just doesn't feel right...still...

Hot chocolate!!!  It is chilly enough for hot chocolate.  In the morning at least.  I LOVE IT!!!! Yesterday we ate breakfast lunch and dinner out there in the...Fall room.  Today we ate dinner out there.

Sadie loves it too.  She is a large fan of staring out the window.   Did I mention I have worn pants (for the whole day-it hasn't even warmed up very much during the day.  Yesterday it was in the low 60's.  THE LOW 60'S!!!!  Today it was in the mid 70's), for the past 2 days.  Soon I will be breaking out my boots and scarves...not, I am sure, before we have an Indian Summer for a couple of weeks that will force the windows to close, AC back on, and tears in my eyes...

Sadie likes to hold hands too.  I love that fur ball....and the Fall.  I love the fall.....

Now I have to get out there and clean, organize, and decorate my favorite room in the house...in the fall at least. :)

We will call this the before picture....The after will soon follow....

I almost forgot!  Our first Fall dinner in the Fall room...

Heavenly....{sigh}....Life.Is.Glorius.

111 days.

That is how much older than Aaron I am.  But last Friday, September 19th we became the same age again.  It was Aaron's birthday.  And I don't care what anyone says-yes it does work that way.  While I made Derby pie's (Aaron's only request for his birthday and a pie that everyone told me never comes out unless you are Jane Mather...no pressure), Jake wrapped Aaron's presents.
Sadie supervised.
Yes.  I know I need to clean the oven...don't judge.  Here they are baking nicely (the recipe makes 3 pies...obviously)...
Then we waited for Aaron to get home...while the pies baked.
Taking pictures helps pass the time while you are worried if the pies are going to come out or not.
They came out perfect.  Okay not perfect-but as close as you could possibly get.  I need to cook them a couple more minutes next time.  The recipe is pretty easy but I was worried because of the forewarning...I don't bake pies because I am not really a pie person.  I guess I can bake pies. :)
And Aaron was happy with his gifts.  He played along with my picture taking and over reacted to every gift he opened.  That is how he rolls.  There is very rarely a picture of Aaron in which he is just being normal.  Look at these next pictures and you will see what I mean.
Out of focus-sorry...We got him stuff to make Chex mix because it is his favorite snack and he loves to make it rather than buy it.  It is even better home made.
Okay these two may be the most normal he has acted in pictures....
Okay-there it is (fuzzy again)!
"WOLVERINE!!!! YESSSSS!"  I should have recorded it because it is really more than the face.  He was being a big dork.  He really liked the presents. :)
"CAPTAIN AMERICA AND THE WINTER SOLDIER!!!!"  We watched that one, had some pizza (Yannis-the place we thought was "our new" pizza place may have been a fluke...we have had it twice since then and it hasn't been as good...) and ate Derby pie.
Happy 38th (we are now the same age again) Aaron!  You are awesome.

Declutter and Pictures Gallore...

*This.  Adorable-am I right?
Sadie is a very cuddly dog and we take advantage of it all the time.
*This may be too much information for some of you...sorry.  This is for my posterity, since my great-great-great grand daughter may have similar problems with hormones.  I have had my period every month for the last year.  That is the first time in my whole life.   I am 38 years old.  First time EVER my period has been regular...and for a whole year!...Strange...Knowing my body I am going through menopause early and it will all be backwards.  Going from hardly ever having it to always having it!

*We have been trying to have some fun with writing lately and it is working.  You roll these dice...
...and then Jake has to write a short story (really short-I time him for only 10 minutes) based on what is on the dice.
He had a lot of fun and did a great job.  I waited (and graded some other work) to ding the bell. :)  In case you were wondering the "tablecloth"  is Jake's first large work of art.  When he was 2 1/2 or 3 we got a really big piece of blue paper (the kind that they have at schools for bulletin boards on big rolls) and he fingered painted.  I love it and have kept all this time and decided to put it on the table with one of those clear plastic tablecloths over it.  We also stick papers under the plastic for school.  I will take a picture of the school room when it isn't a wreck of books and papers!
*I have a ton of Christmas shopping done already and it makes me soooo happy.  I used to always have it done early-up until about 4 or 5 years ago and I started slacking.  Which turned into stressing.  Now I am back to the old me Christmas prep wise.

*We had an old school cafeteria kind of lunch the other day.  Not healthy but fun!  I am adding cafeteria style trays to my Christmas list.

*Did I mention Sadie is cuddly?

*I love teaching art at our Co-op.  We are getting ready paint some bowling pins to put in the County Fair.
*Atmospheric pressure is no joke.  We are learning all about the atmosphere in Science and the labs we do at co-op are awesome.
*Jake's picture is on display at the library! This summer the library gave out 50 disposable camera's  for teens to take pictures of what our county looks like....

...and they are on display in the hallway right as you come through the door. Super cool!
*On Sunday Jake said that sometimes when he is listening to a song he sometimes thinks "why does it sound different"  and he "wonders why it sounds like it is missing something", and then he said, "then I realize-oh Mommy isn't singing to it."  I heart that boy.

*We still love Classical Conversations Foundations program and even though Jake is technically too old for it we still do it!  And we have a ton of fun doing it with our friends!

*When Sadie is inside she is either sleeping in random places throughout the house or she is...
...starring out the window at the squirrels in the huge tree in the front yard.
*Jake learned a different kind of lesson last week.  He learned that he needs to write out his Algebra problems.  He thought he could do it in his head.  He couldn't.  And he always kind squishes all his problems together...and doesn't date his paper...or leave a margin (this will all have to go into a hole punched portfolio)...etc.  Now he has these post it notes in his math composition book that remind him (ever day-because I told him he has to move it to the next page as he flips) of a few things he needs to do...I was being a mean teacher on this particular day.  But he got the message and has stepped it up.  :)
*Last Thursday was National Cheeseburger day (yes that actually is a thing) so we had Wendy's for lunch.

*I am done.

Photodrop Of VT/NH #2 of many...

No words...except those.
