FINALLY!

I have been wanting to decorate for Christmas for a while now and we finally started yesterday for family home evening....which means the house is a wreck with boxes and decorations that are still looking for a home....

....and I don't mind one bit!  For the first time in years (maybe since we have lived in our own home)  I haven't been excited about decorating.  I was kind of being a Scrooge.  I still decorated but not very enthusiastically.  This year I am excited and I even love our Charlie Brown tree!

And when I say Charlie Brown tree I am not kidding.  We threw out our tree a couple of years ago because it was pre-lit and the whole middle section lights wouldn't light up any more and it was just old and you could tell!  We keep saying we are going to get a new one but there is so much more we could do with $100-so we just keep using this little one Mom was getting rid of...It does make me wonder what we were thinking throwing the other one away...It was at least taller than this one...

Oh well!  Look at this adorable little Charlie Brown tree!

Owen's Blessing...

The end to our family, food, and fun filled weekend was the best part.  It was Owen's blessing day on Sunday and it was a wonderful!

A traditions dies hard...

For the past 5 years we have had a party and watched the Gamecocks beat Clemson the Saturday after Thanksgiving....This year they lost.  Bad.  But we still had a party, ate more food, and took more pictures (this was right after the family photo shoot).  Teri was happy because she went to Clemson and was glad to finally be the happy one after the game!

Next year we will beat Clemson again....

Harmon Family Photo Shoot

The whole family....

Nana and Papa Harmon with their grandchildren and their great grandchild.

Four generations....

The VA Harmon's (Aaron's older brother Mike, his wife Teri, daughters:Sara-23 this month, Kayla-21, Megan-17 next month, Kayla's son Owen 3 1/2 months...for posterity purposes. I call them the VA Harmon's because they live in VA)

The baby Harmon's.  (Aaron's baby brother Matt, his wife Erin, Jaxson-2 1/2, Parker-6 months.)

The Martin's (Aaron's older sister Ranee, her husband Jeremy, Riannon-17 this month, Della-14, Addie Kate-9)

Us  (I took all the other pictures-besides the one of all of us-Jeremy's brother Grant took that one.  Ranee took the ones of us and we did a quick change into our USC Gamecocks attire to take a picture in too)

Riannon, Megan, and Della wanted to do a little photo shoot and we had so much fun doing it!  Here are a few of them.

I kind love to take pictures. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent Thanksgiving with the Harmon family and that means eating at the church because there are so many of us!  This was Aunt Sheila's first Thanksgiving in South Carolina and we met Owen for the first time, so it was a pretty exciting day!

After we all ate too much, some of the ladies made a plan of attack on Black Friday shopping.  Teri and I went to Old Navy that evening and got a couple of good deals-the whole store was 50% off!

The next morning Riannon, Ranee, Teri, Megan, and my self all headed to Target and Ollie's and crossed off some more things on the Christmas list.  It is usually CRAZY on  Black Friday but it wasn't busy at all by the time we went out around 7:30 am.  So the rush was over before we got there and when we got to Target they still had tons of their big screen TV's (on sale big time)  that hadn't sold.  There is a first time for everything!

Check out Owen in his navy blue and green hat I got from Old Navy for him.  How cute is he?!  This is how Friday looked for the most part.  Hanging out, corn hole and eating leftovers.  I love Thanksgiving because it means food, family, and fun.  And the official beginning of the holiday season.  We are truly blessed!

(Megan showed me the app Piccollage and I am now hooked!)
